St. Paul, Minnesota hosts Back to the '50's, the nation's largest Street Rod and Classic Car Show every summer in June. This year 11,000 cars in every color of rainbow, with every type of flames and pinstripes, large, small and every possible size in between are shown by proud owners. People walk for hours admiring chrome, color and unique names, upholstery and unique accessories.
See the license plate: '49 Mercury in code! Trust me, this is not how this came off the factory assembly line.
Here's a cute little accessory over the headlight
How about some blue flames for your Mini-van? Go ahead, you know you want them!
Cute tail lights, big bumpers, nice ride.
We'll be back with more of your favorite cartoons real soon!
Hey Minnesota Girl...is that you dressed to the nines, next to your favorite car?? What a fun post!! Love the vintage cars!!

Very AWESOME!!! I'm thinking we might come out on Sunday!
ReplyDeleteOne of these days, I might "Drive My Dream"!!
Great car and love your look!
Deb :)
Wow Tammy! Each car is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis beautiful woman, beautiful in that dress are you? Congratulations!
When I was in Orlando, FL, went to Disney's Hollywood Studios, and saw several of these cars from the 50s, beautiful!
Tammy, I want you to be quick on my blog to know me, yesterday I posted two photos with my family and I will remove it soon, because I do not like posting personal photos on the blog. Just so you know who is Luciana. Ok?
Have a blessed weekend.
xoxo
Luciana
My daughter drives a huge White Suburban...to fit her six kids in...and she had it personalized with orange pinstrips and the phrase "Li'l Missy" on either side. I love car shows! So much color and excitement! =D
ReplyDeleteOh, could I please ride in every one of these pretties! Is that you in your pretty dress, with that amazing yellow Chevy or a.k.a 'dream car'? Gorgeous! Wishing you a wonderful weekend, and take a little cruise in your sweet car for me! xo Heather
ReplyDeleteLove these! Living with my two car guys has turned me into a vintage car enthusiast. Of course the '40s and '50s models are my favorites.
ReplyDeleteAwesome cars and pictures! I especially love the first one with the lovely lady...thinking it's you? Love the dress and purse.
ReplyDeleteOH......the colors....the lines....I want to go back!!!! And have a drivers license! lol
ReplyDeleteWe went to a vintage car show at the A&W while on vacation in Wisconsin! It's there every year, and we always go and then pick which car is our favorite. This year for me it was a red, white and blue 1970 GMC Rebel. Love the muscle cars!
ReplyDeleteThis is when they made a car. The kind that didn't dent when you hit the garage as you were pulling out. The garage would dent. Now the cars scratch dent and crumble. I miss the well made stuff. Smiles...Renee
ReplyDeleteI agree with Renee. They don't make em like they used to. Sounds like you had a good time!
ReplyDeleteOh my Heavens girlfriend that car is just beautiful and you are as cute as a button! They just don't make 'em like they use too. What happened to chrome? Did they run out of it or something?
ReplyDeleteBlessings
Linda
i love the color of that last car the blue, stunning!! I was catching up on your blog lots of great posts here.
ReplyDelete11,000 cars in the show! Wow! That's a lot! I'm not a car person but refurbished vintage I don't mind. :) I tell you what, they sure don't make bumpers like they used to. No wonder all the cars fold up like tin cans when they crash. All this plastic mess that is painted the same color of the car is worthless. Bring back chrome! :) Have a great day. Tammy
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun show that must have been! And don't you look beautiful all dressed up in a lovely dress. You rock, girl!!
ReplyDeleteThat's what I call style! All cars should have fins.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun that must be to go!! Those old cars are so neat, I love that light blue color!! &&& You look gorgeous in your dress with your cute accessories!! :) xo Holly
ReplyDeleteMy hubby and I are HUGE classic and antique car fans! What a great post! Wish I was there right now!
ReplyDeleteMy dad has done classic cars for years and we always went to that show. It was the early summer highlight and has rained a lot lately. So are you the Classic Lady by the car? you look great.
ReplyDeleteVintage cars are really timeless! These cars have a unique appeal that separates them from the modern cars. Anyway, I’m still hoping that I’d be able to purchase a vintage car for myself in the future.
ReplyDelete“Cute tail lights, big bumpers, nice ride.”--- Well, that’s what you really expect in classic car! The turquoise vintage is really spectacular! I’m so in love with it! Even the car mat is turquoise! Nice!
ReplyDeleteOh, I don't mind the interruption, Tammy! It is a pleasure to see these vintage beauties once in a while. They are quite lovely to look at. I know that some of them maybe a little outdated but I would not think twice if I will be given a chance to ride of those classic cars. They certainly evoke an old Hollywood ambiance.
ReplyDeleteBest,
