Shockingly Spring

I don't know what to say; I have never done things like this in March or April in the Upper Midwest!
I wore Capri pants.  We turned the air conditioner on in the car before June.  The snow is gone; even the pile in the middle of the cul-de-sac that lasts until mid-May some years!  Easter in this part of the country included new shoes, an Easter bonnet and white gloves, chocolate bunnies and winter coats.
I made this little Easter project by cutting out the graphic and standing her against an easel.  Leftover wooden ornaments from an old Easter tree got called into service along with a few buttons from my stash.  Ruffle up her skirt with crepe paper pleats, trim the length with a pinking sheers and she's all set for Sunday School!
.

Some day, we'll be telling our grandkids about the weird weather in 2012 when the grass turned green and the leaves were open and there was SPRING in MARCH!

  1. What cute little elf friends you have.

I wore capri pants last week too - today they were forecasting snow. Go figure.

  2. I love your little display with the little girl cutout- so sweet!!

And I'm amazed that I "stumped" you with my decal Golden Book- it sounds like it's not that common! The only way I stumbled upon it was that I was searching on Ebay for decals, and it popped up!

  3. I just cannot get over how each year changes so very much. After growing up in Houston where there is no seasonal change I have developed a love for seasons having been in Kansas for so long. Your Easter crafts are darling...smiles...Renee

  6. I saw your "Tammy" picture on a comment on another blog and just had to come by and visit you. When I was a kid, I played with Pepper... she was Tammy's little sister. I still have her. :-) Anyway, hi and nice to meet you.
